Expedited Title Service

Expedited Title Service is available on titles, duplicate titles, corrected titles and standard ownership changes. Out-of state titles from a vehicle dealer and the application is in the vehicle dealer's name which includes normal ownership changes through a dealership only.

Requests submitted by 12 p.m. will be shipped UPS overnight that day or available for pickup that day in the Springfield facility. Requests submitted after 12 p.m. will be shipped UPS overnight the next business day or available for pickup the next business day in the Springfield facility, Chicago North facility or Chicago South facility.

Titles will be sent to the address on the title (street address only no PO Box numbers), or to a dealer, remitter, or financial institution with interest in the vehicle. In order to qualify for an expedited title, the surrendered title must be a current Illinois title or a new car title that has not been registered in any state. Transactions requiring special documentation (bonds, estate work, etc.) are not eligible.

Fee

• $30 expedited fee applies in addition to the normal transaction fee. If the title is not processed within the allotted time, you may apply for a refund of the $30 expedited fee.

Applications received in this manner will be considered received after 12 p.m. and will be guaranteed for next business day printing.
